Song Stories
About the programme
Usually aimed at the elderly, 'Song Stories' is a fantastic way to stimulate memories and creativity. Participants choose songs that hold particular significance to them in their life - not dissimilar from 'Desert Island Discs' or 'Tracks of my Years' - and are given a chance to listen to, sing, and talk about the song, and explain its significance to the other participants.

This process allows the participant to explore their memories in an organic and completely personal way, which can be recorded for the participant's family in a variety of formats - such as a raw audio or video recording, or typed up in written form, allowing multiple Song Stories to be compiled into a scrapbook of important memories and experiences for family members to keep and cherish.
Song Stories is, like all of our programmes, designed to be fully accessible. If your organisation has members with specific needs, then please let us know as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate that into our planning.
