About the programme

Ever wanted to write a song? Now you have the chance to!

Suitable for any age group, this programme breaks down the process of writing a song, and helps the participants to better understand the world around them and express potentially difficult emotions. There is the option either to have the songwriting done as a full group, smaller groups or individual, depending on the confidence and desire of the participants.

This programme started with 'Keys for Life' at the Symphony Hall, putting the thoughts and feelings of real people to music that was then performed live by a band.

Outcomes of Songwriting for Well-being include the ability to record and potentially perform the original songs that the participants have written or helped to write, as well as being an active part of the recording process. From this point, the songs can be burnt onto a CD and distributed, or even put on iTunes/Spotify!

Songwriting for Well-being is, like all of our programmes, designed to be fully accessible. If your organisation has members with specific needs, then please let us know as early as possible and we will do our best to accommodate that into our planning.

If this programme sounds like it could be of interest to you and your organisation, please get in touch with the form below! All consultations are completely free, and here we can discuss the specifics of bringing Songwriting for Well-being to your organisation.
